📅 Stock Market Holidays 2026

This year there will be holidays in the U.S. stock market. On these days, you won’t be able to trade any stocks. Here are the dates:

  • New Year’s Day: Thursday, January 1

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, January 19

  • Presidents’ Day: Monday, February 16

  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 25

  • Juneteenth: Friday, June 19

  • Independence Day: Friday, July 3

  • Labor Day: Monday, September 7

  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 26

  • Christmas Day: Friday, December 25

Additionally, these days do not count as trading days or business days for trade settlement. You can check all official dates on the NYSE website here.


🏦 Bank Holidays 2026

In addition to the stock market holidays listed above, keep in mind that some accounts in Hapi may have transaction settlement periods affected by the following U.S. bank holidays, even when the stock market is open:

  • Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Monday, October 12

  • Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 11

On these days, the market will close at 1:00 PM New York time (extended trading available until 3:00 PM New York time):

  • Friday before Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Friday, January 16

  • Friday before Memorial Day: Friday, May 22

  • Juneteenth Eve: Thursday, June 18

  • Independence Day Eve: Thursday, July 2

  • Friday before Labor Day: Friday, September 4

  • Thanksgiving Eve: Wednesday, November 25

  • Day after Thanksgiving: Friday, November 27

  • Christmas Eve: Thursday, December 24

  • New Year’s Eve: Thursday, December 31
