Learn how to place a market sell order, which is an order to sell a stock immediately. Keep in mind that the last-traded price is not necessarily the price at which your market buy order will be executed. Your trade will be at the best available price when selling securities following the NBBO rule.

How to sell a Stock:
Access the details of a stock.
At the bottom of the page, select the Sell button.
Enter the quantity of shares you would like to sell or select the Sell All option. If you prefer to sell in dollars, in "Order Types," you can choose the Sell in Dollars option.
Review your order and confirm that all details are correct.
Confirm, submit your order, and you're done!
