Stock Market Holidays 2026

Stock Market Holidays 2026

📅 Stock Market Holidays 2026

This year there will be holidays in the U.S. stock market. On these days, you won’t be able to trade any stocks. Here are the dates:

  • New Year’s Day: Thursday, January 1

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, January 19

  • Presidents’ Day: Monday, February 16

  • Good Friday: Friday, April 3

  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 25

  • Juneteenth: Friday, June 19

  • Independence Day: Friday, July 3

  • Labor Day: Monday, September 7

  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 26

  • Christmas Day: Friday, December 25

Additionally, these days do not count as trading days or business days for trade settlement. You can check all official dates on the NYSE website here.

🏦 Bank Holidays 2026

In addition to the stock market holidays listed above, keep in mind that some accounts in Hapi may have transaction settlement periods affected by the following U.S. bank holidays, even when the stock market is open:

  • Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Monday, October 12

  • Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 11

You can check all official dates on the Federal Reserve website here.

💵 How do holidays affect your deposits and withdrawals?

  • Bank holidays (October 12 and November 11) can delay your deposits and withdrawals, even if the stock market is open.

  • Deposits made on weekends or U.S. holidays are processed starting the next business day, regardless of the method.

  • The 12 pm ET cutoff time applies only to deposits by local bank transfer: if you deposit after that time, your deposit is processed starting the next business day. Card and ACH deposits have no cutoff time.

🌎 Holidays in your country

If it’s a holiday in your country, your bank may take longer to send the transfer. For example, this happened during Fiestas Patrias in Peru. In that case, your deposit may arrive later even if it’s a business day in the U.S.

🕐 Early Close Days in the Stock Market 2026

On these days, the market will close at 1 pm ET (extended trading available until 3 pm ET):

  • Day after Thanksgiving: Friday, November 27

  • Christmas Eve: Thursday, December 24
