What are inactivity fees?
What are inactivity fees?

You have a charge that you do not recognize or indicates that it is due to account inactivity? We explain you all about it.

Updated this week

Hapi will charge a monthly fee of US$1.99 for inactivity for accounts with a balance below USD 5,000 that have had no activity (no logins, purchases, or sales) in the last 60 days or more. If the account has no money or assets, the inactivity fee will not be charged. You can check our Fee Schedule for more information.

If the account has no funds, any pending inactivity fees will be automatically deducted from the Buying Power when a new deposit or asset sale is made. This means that if you have three months of inactivity accumulated and make a deposit or sale, the pending $5.97 will be deducted.

How to avoid inactivity charges?

Avoiding these charges is simple. You can do it in two ways:

  1. Keep your account active by logging in at least once every 60 days. To be considered an active user, you only need to log in to your account; there is no need to make transactions or deposits.

  2. Increase your account balance to USD 5,000 (total assets).

We will always try to notify you before charging the inactivity fee to your account.
