How to buy shares in Hapi: A step by step guide

Updated yesterday

With Hapi, you can place buy orders specifying the exact number of shares or the dollar amount you want to invest. You can choose between market or limit orders, whether you're buying by shares or dollars. Availability of these order types depends on the market session.

For more information on the types of orders available at Hapi go here.

Order Types by Market Hours

Regular Market Hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET)

  • Buying in shares or dollars: Market orders (at the current market price) or limit orders (price you set).

Extended Hours (7:00 AM – 9:30 AM ET and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET)

  • Buying in shares or dollars: Only limit orders (price you set).

If you place an order outside of regular or extended hours, it will be queued and executed when the regular market session opens next.

Important

The last traded price might not be the exact price at which your buy order executes. Always review carefully the market or limit price before confirming your order.
