About dividend info

Updated over a week ago

Dividends are payments made by a company to its shareholders as a distribution of profits. These payments can be in cash, additional shares, or other assets. Dividend information includes several important indicators that investors should understand to know when and how much they will receive.

Dividends of a stock

  • Amount: The amount of money that will be paid per share as a dividend. In this case, the shareholder will receive $0.75 for each share they own.

  • Declaration date: The date when the company announces that it will pay dividends.

  • Type: Indicates the type of dividend to be paid. CD (Cash Dividend) means the dividend will be paid in cash.

  • Ex-div date: The date from which shares traded are no longer entitled to receive the declared dividend. In this case, you need to buy the share before May 15, 2024, to receive the $0.75 dividend.

  • Frequency: Indicates the frequency in months at which the company pays dividends during the year.

  • Pay date: The date when the company pays the dividend to registered shareholders

  • Record date: The date when the company identifies the shareholders who will receive the dividend. In this case, all people who own shares of the company on May 16, 2024, are registered shareholders and will receive the dividend.

If you hold the share before May 15, 2024, you will be registered on May 16 and receive $0.75 per share on June 13, 2024.
