How to understand the “Statistics” section in My investments?

Understand what each metric in Hapi’s Statistics section means and how your investment performance is calculated.

The Statistics section shows a summary of how your money has moved in Hapi: how much you’ve invested, how your investments have changed, and which results have already been realized.

Below, we explain each section and what each number includes (and does not include).

My investment

Value of my investments

This is the current market value of your invested assets, calculated using real-time prices.

Includes:

  • Stocks

  • ETFs

  • Cryptocurrencies

It does not include your buying power, since that money hasn’t been invested yet.

Example: If the total value of your stocks, ETFs, and crypto is USD 4,150 today, that will be shown as your investment value, even if you still have uninvested cash available.

Amount invested

This is the total amount of money you’ve used to purchase the assets you currently hold in your portfolio.

It also does not include your available buying power, since that money hasn’t been invested.

Example: If you deposited USD 4,000, invested USD 3,200, and kept USD 800 as buying power, your invested amount will be USD 3,200.

This value may change if you buy or sell assets and then reinvest.

Unrealized gains/losses

This is the difference between the current value of your investments and the amount invested.

They are considered “unrealized” because you haven’t sold the assets yet.

Example:

  • Amount invested: USD 3,200

  • Current value: USD 4,150

  • Unrealized gain: +USD 950

If you sell, this gain becomes realized.

Historical gains

This section reflects results that have already occurred, even if you no longer hold those assets.

Realized gains/losses

Gains or losses generated when you sell an asset, calculated by comparing the sale price with the average cost.

Example:
You bought a stock at USD 100 and sold it at USD 130.
Realized gain: +USD 30.

Dividends

Payments that some companies or ETFs distribute for holding their shares.

Example:
If an ETF pays USD 0.50 per share and you hold 20 shares, you receive USD 10 in dividends.

Rewards

Rewards granted by Hapi, such as:

  • Promotional campaigns

  • Referral programs

  • Special bonuses

Other income

Income not directly related to sales or dividends, such as:

  • Positive adjustments

  • Compensations

  • Extraordinary movements

Other charges

Charges that are not related to buying or selling assets. These may include regulatory or operational items, such as:

  • ADR fees (fees associated with foreign stocks listed in the U.S.)

  • Tax withholdings (W-8, NRA withholding)

  • Withholdings under Section 1446(f) for certain assets

  • Operational or regulatory adjustments

These charges are determined by U.S. market and tax regulations, not by Hapi.

Trades

Buys

Executed orders to purchase stocks, ETFs, or cryptocurrencies.

Includes:

  • Total amount bought

  • Number of buy orders

Sells

Executed orders to sell assets from your portfolio.

Transfers

Deposits

Total amount of money added to your Hapi account through bank transfers.

Withdrawals

Total amount of money withdrawn from your Hapi account to bank methods.

Crypto transfers

Deposits

Total amount of cryptocurrency transferred into your Hapi account from external wallets.

Withdrawals

Total amount of cryptocurrency sent from your Hapi account to external wallets.

In summary

  • Value of my investments shows only your invested assets, not cash.

  • Amount invested reflects how much of your money is currently invested.

  • Unrealized gains show potential results if you sold today.

  • Historical gains show what has already happened.

  • Other charges include regulatory and tax-related adjustments from the market.
