What are the fees associated with a bond?

When purchasing a bond, there are two additional costs to keep in mind beyond the trade price.

Hapi fee

Hapi charges 0.35% of the transaction value, with a minimum of $3.99 per trade. This fee applies to both Treasury and corporate bonds.

Accrued interest

Accrued interest is the interest a bond has generated since its last coupon payment date. When you buy a bond between payment dates, you pay the seller for the interest accumulated during that period.

You can see the accrued interest broken out on the order confirmation screen before completing your trade.
