What can the connected AI see and what can't it do?

What data from your account the connected AI can read (read-only) and which actions it can never perform.

The AI can only read information from your account. It cannot trade, move money or change anything. Before you authorize, the Hapi screen shows you exactly what will be shared.

✅ What the AI can read

Permission

What it can read

Portfolio and positions

Your portfolios (main and custom), their value, gain and cash, how their value changed over time, your positions (asset, quantity, value and performance), your realized gain from sales and, if you have a margin account, your margin status (line, usage, rate and interest)

Transactions

Your history of purchases, sales, deposits, withdrawals and dividends, including fees and tax withheld, and the status of a specific transaction

Market data

Current and historical prices of stocks and cryptocurrencies

Watchlists

The lists of assets you follow

The authorization screen shows these permissions together and you authorize them as a whole: you cannot choose only some of them.

❌ What the AI cannot do

  • Buy, sell or place orders.

  • Deposit, withdraw or move money.

  • Change your personal data, settings or lists.

  • See data from another account: each connection is tied only to your account.

  • See your email, phone, address, identity documents, brokerage account number or bank details. The transactions it sees do not include bank names, counterparties or notes.

These limits do not depend on the AI “behaving well”: Hapi’s servers are configured to reject any operation outside that list.

📌 Important: the AI never receives your password. It receives a limited permission that expires automatically after 30 days and that you can revoke at any time.

⚠️ If you have a margin account: the AI can show you your margin line, usage, rate and interest, but it will not always repeat the risk warnings. Margin involves risk: it can increase your losses as well as your gains, you can lose more than you deposited, and if your equity falls below the requirements, Hapi may sell your assets without notifying you and without a prior margin call. Hapi and its clearing firm may also raise margin requirements at any time, without prior notice. Interest is charged on the margin used. Review the margin risk disclosure statement before using it.
