What to do in case of a user’s death?

We are deeply sorry for your loss. We know this is a difficult time, and we want to support you by making this process as clear and simple as possible.

If a Hapi account holder has passed away, a family member or heir must contact our support team and provide the email address linked to the account or the account number, if available.

To begin the process, please make sure you have the following documents available:

Required documentation

  • Death certificate of the account holder

  • Identification document (ID) of the account holder

  • Identification document (ID) of the heirs

  • Marriage certificate, if applicable

  • Will, if available

  • Declaration of heirs or intestate succession document, if there is no will

If an heir decides to waive, transfer, assign, or divide the inherited assets in a way different from the legally established distribution, additional legal documentation may be required.

Important considerations

  • Additional documentation may be requested depending on the applicable jurisdiction and the nature of the account.

  • Hapi does not provide legal advice and may request documents validated according to current laws. For security and privacy reasons, documents must only be sent through official support channels, following the instructions provided by our team.

Our support team will review the information and assist you throughout the entire process, in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
