Account maintenance
No. Hapi does not charge any fee to maintain your account.
Inactivity fee
The only charge related to having the account is the inactivity fee: a monthly USD 4.99 charge that applies only in a specific case.
When is it charged and when not?
Your situation | Charged? |
You log into the app or web at least once every 60 days | No |
You have USD 100 or more in assets | No |
Your account has no assets | No |
You're a Hapi Prime user | No |
Your account has assets but less than USD 100 AND you don't log into the app or web for 60+ days, and you're not Prime | Yes — USD 4.99/month |
In short: the charge applies only to non-Prime accounts that have assets but less than USD 100, and that have gone 60 days or more without logging into the app or web.
How to avoid it? (either one is enough)
Log into the app or web at least once every 60 days (no need to trade or deposit — accessing the platform is enough).
Or keep USD 100 or more in assets.
What if I have a pending charge?
If you don't have available cash in your buying power to cover the charge, it stays pending and is covered with your available cash or your next deposit.
How much is it?
USD 4.99/month while the account remains in that situation. You can check the details in the official Hapi Securities fee schedule.
If you close your account and later return
If your account is left with no money or assets, the inactivity fee is not charged. For example, if you sold everything, withdrew your funds, and don't use the account for months, you're not charged. If you later want to invest again, you can reactivate your account. Write to us at [email protected] to start the process.
